Job Description

Candidate will serve to lead guided trail rides as well as assist with cleaning of facilities, grooming, mucking stalls and other duties related to guided horseback activities and care and boarding of horses. This would be part-time job with 3 to 4 days scheduled per week.  Weekday and Weekend availability is preferred.

Candidate will assist in grooming and tacking of trail horses for use on tours and assist in mounting and dismounting of guests on horseback tours.  Duties will include mucking stalls, cleaning and inspection of saddles, bridles and other tack, feeding and watering of horses.  Candidate will also assist in inspection and repair of paddock fences and other facilities.  Cleaning and maintenance of helmets and other guest use PPE will also be a duty.  Must have the ability to lead trail rides as well as  children’s lead-line rides and “Meet the Horses” experiences. Candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Qualifications

Education:

High school education or equivalent 

Experience:

Experience with trail horses, western tack and stables a plus.

Other:

Candidate must pass pre-employment screening, background check, and possess a vehicle operator’s license with good driving record.
