Primary Objective

The Sales Manager leads a team of Regional Account Managers to achieve sales targets, drive strategy and growth, and deliver exceptional customer engagement. Motivate, direct, and coach the team; manage performance and hold employees accountable for results. Ensure the team executes strategies for account expansion, retention, pipeline growth, and new business acquisition. Participate in the establishment of KPIs, process improvement, and workflow simplification. 

Major Areas of Accountability

Leadership and Coaching:

  • Supervise Regional Account Managers to meet and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
  • Provide ongoing training in solution-based selling, prospecting, and account management best practices.
  • Hold team members accountable for performance and adherence to processes.
  • Plans, staffs, and develops a sales organization capable of achieving sales objectives in market retention, penetration, conversion, customer service, and volume.

Strategy & Process Improvement: 

  • Together with Global Sales Managers, develop the Regional Account Management plan, including annual bookings targets. Produce annual forecasts and update projections as needed.
  • Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics for the team.
  • Drive sales strategy for account expansion, retention, and pipeline velocity.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to simplify workflows and increase efficiency.

Sales Oversight:

  • Ensure execution of business strategies. 
  • Perform territory planning and pipeline management for accurate forecasting.
  • Monitor high-volume sales activities, including leads, inbound calls, outbound calls, email campaigns, and remote engagement.

Performance Management:

  • Track and report on team metrics.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear goals for individual and team success.
  • Ensure CRM usage for accurate activity tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and sales processes.

Customer Engagement Oversight:

  • Ensure consistent follow-up and engagement with existing accounts and new business opportunities.
  • Support escalation of customer issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve quickly. 

      Education and Experience Qualifications

      • Minimum of 5 years of sales or related experience
      • Bachelor’s Degree  (engineering or a technical field preferred)

      General Skills

      • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
      • Proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams and achieve revenue targets
      • Strong coaching, communication, and analytical skills
      • Experience in setting KPIs and driving process improvements
      • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

      Compensation Information:

      $80,000 - $120,000 Annual Salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
