Must have experience with 2- Cycle and 4-Cycle Motors.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced 4-cycle mechanic to join our team in a full-time role. The ideal candidate will specialize in the maintenance and repair of walk-behind and riding lawn mowers. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge of major brands including Briggs, Stihl, Kawasaki, Kohler, Hydragear, MTD, Toro, and Scag. This is a full-time position offering a flexible schedule and compensation based on an hourly rate plus commission on labor.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, service, and repair walk-behind and riding mowers
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform routine maintenance, oil changes, blade sharpening, belt replacements, and engine overhauls
  • Maintain knowledge of small engine parts and equipment
  • Accurately document repairs, parts used, and labor time for commission tracking
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are in good condition
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions about repairs and maintenance
  • Order and track parts as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures and store policies

Requirements:
  • Proven experience with 4-cycle engines and mower repair
  • Strong knowledge of brands: Briggs, Stihl, Kawasaki, Kohler, Hydragear, MTD, Toro, and Scag
