The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) invites you to apply today to be considered for a position that provides customer service to the citizens of Maryland every day. The MTA is one of the largest transit systems in the United States and is seeking dynamic and energetic individuals to join the MTA team.
The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is recruiting for A-Repairman Plumber SKLD. The A-Repairman-Plumber duties include but are not limited to; Inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair all plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilating systems and all drainage, water, steam, oil, gas, air, deluge and sprinkler equipment and systems on or associated with MTA equipment, buildings and facilities. Must be able to understand and carry out both verbal and written instructions; work from drawings, blueprints, schematics and equipment manuals, or similar, and perform assigned duties with the aid of minimal supervision. Candidate will be required to work from heights with the use of ladders, scissor lifts, genie broom trucks, etc. Must have the ability to handle situations involving interfacing with other MTA operations, and perform various duties associated with the Facilities Maintenance Department when necessary.
The current vacancy is located at the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) in Baltimore, Maryland.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED certificate recognized by the State of Maryland. Graduate of Apprenticeship Program or Technical Training School.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience working as a plumber and possession of a Journeyman level or higher Plumber Certification/License valid in the State of Maryland. Applicants must submit copies of Certifications/Licenses, etc. with application.

Applicants must possess a Driver's License valid in the State of Maryland. Applicants must list the license number and date of expiration on the application.
