Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Sr Data Analyst, Digital Marketing will be responsible for supporting web and mobile analytics, a/b testing, and performance measurement. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leveraging and transforming structured and unstructured data into actionable insights and recommendations that improve customer acquisition and conversion efforts in support organizational goals. This critical role will also support efforts to develop and evolve marketing data strategy with an emphasis on measurement efficacy, KPI development, data quality and accessibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Using Google Cloud Platform tools develop, disseminate, and present reports to internal stakeholders on web performance metrics to include customer visits, quote and order conversion, distribution channel performance, and revenue generation

· Curious and action oriented with a drive for continuous improvement as it relates to web site performance

· Maintain and advance departmental data analysis tools, templates, and techniques

· Present complex findings to senior management and non-technical users in clear, concise, and convincing manner both in writing and interactive presentation setting

· Proactively track key metrics, identify trends that warrant deeper analysis, and advise decision makers of the business implications

· Assist management in representing Digital Marketing needs in data governance projects, work with IT to resolve identified data issues and deficiencies

· Assist management in mentoring and training professionals in less senior positions

· Under minimal supervision translate internal stakeholder questions into actionable and insightful reports

· Develop new reporting tools to accommodate evolving business needs

· Develop and monitor data quality metrics to ensure that reporting used to make decisions is both accurate and comprehensive

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

· Bachelor’s level Degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, or a closely related field required.

· 2 – 4 years experience working with Google Cloud Platform tools including Google Analytics, BigQuery, Google Data (Looker) Studio, and Google Sheets

· Demonstrated expertise in SQL working with Big Data sourced from both relational databases (SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle etc.) and flat files; experience in Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and Azure Blob, S3 is a plus

· Experience in Tableau, PowerBI, and Python a plus

· Strong working background in Data Mining, Data Extraction, & Coding

· Strong research and analysis skills

· Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and learn new skills independently

· Excellent organization skills

· Ability to manage competing priorities

· Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance

Practical understanding of web site operations and customer journey from landing page to order conversion
Understanding of MTA, DDA or other traffic attribution methodologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; particularly advanced Excel functionality including Pivot Tables, Macros, Lookups, and external data connectivity

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Excellent written and oral presentation skills

· Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
