Responsibilities
The Wilson School of Nursing in the Gunn College of Health Sciences and Human Services at Midwestern State University invites applications for a full-time 9-month tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor to begin Fall 2026. As a faculty member in the Wilson School of Nursing, you will be expected to teach undergraduate nursing courses primarily in pre-licensure BSN programs in Wichita Falls. Collaborate with faculty to develop, teach, organize, and evaluate courses, clinical sites, and student experiences for the pre-licensure BSN programs. Conduct clinical teaching. Advise and mentor students, as well as participate in faculty governance. Participate in scholarly activities aligned with duties, and be involved in the service to the university, community, and the profession.
Requirements
Applicants are required to have an MSN and RN licensure or be eligible for Texas licensure. Preferred qualifications include a doctorate or willingness to earn a doctorate, an MSN in nursing education, and teaching experience in a BSN program.

Requires the ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Must adhere to University's core values: People-Centered, Community, Integrity, Visionary, and Connections, per the MSU Texas Values Journey. Personal cell phone usage may be required to complete position duties, including multi-function authentication requirements. Regular reliable attendance is required.
