Position Overview:

As a Journeyman Window Washer at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), you will be responsible for performing advanced window cleaning services throughout airport facilities, including terminal buildings, concourses, office spaces, and other airport properties. This position requires a highly skilled professional with experience in commercial window washing, working at heights, and operating specialized equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and professionalism in a busy airport environment. In addition to performing window washing duties, this role will support the training and development of new team members..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Window Cleaning: Clean, wash, scrub, and squeegee interior and exterior windows, glass walls, skylights, partitions, and other glass surfaces throughout airport facilities. Remove dirt, dust, fingerprints, water spots, and debris while ensuring a streak-free finish

  • Advanced Access Methods: Perform window cleaning duties using ladders, aerial lifts, scaffolding, boom lifts, and other approved access equipment as required. Safely work at varying heights while adhering to all airport and company safety standards.

  • Equipment Operation: Operate, inspect, and maintain window washing equipment, including water-fed pole systems, extension poles, squeegees, scrubbers, lifts, and other specialized tools. Report equipment deficiencies or maintenance needs promptly..

  • Detailing and Finishing: Ensure all glass surfaces are cleaned to the highest quality standards. Detail frames, tracks, ledges, and surrounding surfaces to provide a polished and professional appearance

  • Training and Mentorship: Assist with the onboarding, training, and development of new team members. Demonstrate proper window cleaning techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for less experienced employees, helping to ensure consistency, productivity, and compliance with company and airport requirements.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure cleanliness, quality, and customer satisfaction. Address any deficiencies or touch-up requirements promptly.

  • Customer Service: Interact professionally with airport staff, tenants, travelers, and management personnel. Respond courteously to inquiries and maintain a positive representation of FCS Facility Services.
