Responsibilities
The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner will deliver comprehensive care specializing in providing primary health care to women across the lifespan. The WHNP is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients within the Mercy Health System. Women Health Nurse Practitioners practice in accordance with the Standards for the practice of under the responsibility and supervision of physicians, clinical patient care services. The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner will join a multidisciplinary team to support women transitioning through perimenopause and menopause providing expert guidance, treatment, and empathetic support.
The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner , under the responsibility and supervision of the physicians, clinical patient care service defined as data gathering, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, management of stable and chronic illnesses, and counseling. Under the supervision of an appropriately credentialed attending physician, the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner will work independently and in collaboration with attending physicians.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with completion of an accredited WHNP program.
  • Valid WHNP or FNP license and Registered Nurse (RN) license in MD.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in women's health including menopause or gynecology.
  • MSCP (Menopause Society Certified Practitioner) Certification is preferred.
  • Certification in Women's Health from AANP or NCC (WHNP-BC or similar).
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and digital literacy.
  • Commitment to team-based, patient-centered, technologically enabled care.

Salary Information
Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
