Client: DoD OIG (Department of Defense- Office of Inspector General)
Location: Alexandria, VA Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA/Developer with strong database development and administration expertise. The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing complex SQL queries, managing SQL Server environments, and supporting mission-critical systems in a secure DoD environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Develop, modify, and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Troubleshoot performance issues using SQL Profiler and other monitoring tools.
• Analyze and resolve deadlocks and blocking issues.
• Create and manage SQL Server Agent jobs.
• Perform SQL Server installation and configuration, including instance setup.
• Implement and maintain STIG compliance (Security Technical Implementation Guides).
• Manage database backup and restore operations.
• Configure and support SQL Server Always On / Availability Groups.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
