Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Alexandria, MN
Reports To: CFO

Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Position Summary:
Consolidated Equipment Group (CEG) is a leading force in delivering equipment solutions across the country. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in Alexandria, MN. This role is pivotal in driving the financial integrity and operational excellence of our organization.

What You’ll Do

As the Accounting Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will:

  • Lead and develop the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Supervise invoicing, cash application, and order entry functions, ensuring seamless and accurate processing.
  • Prepare and process commission payments for our sales team on a monthly basis.
  • Handle sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state and local tax regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEG finance team to support the monthly close, annual budgeting process, and external audits.
  • Champion process improvements and leverage your expertise in MS Excel and ERP systems (Syspro, Jobboss2 and Quickbooks) to streamline financial operations.


What You Bring

  • Strong accounting background with a deep understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to inspire and guide your team toward operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Syspro, Jobboss2 and Quickbooks preferred) and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ADP Payroll and or other payroll service provider processes and reporting
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting management experience, including supervising AP, AR, and general ledger functions.
