Job description

Overview
Support a program control team responsible for developing methodologies, tools, and models to help predict and optimize the schedules associated with current and future space system architectures including spacecraft, ground stations, and various support systems. This role involves working both independently and collaboratively on schedule data analysis using the Critical Path Method. The ideal team member will conduct analysis, collaborate with customer program management offices, document findings, present results, and help the team explore other tools and solutions to further Space Combat Power program management insight.
Responsibilities
  • Assess requirements, determine necessary resources to accomplish task, hypothesize solutions, develop solution, and report findings
  • Develop and maintain forecasting and risk models
  • Develop and maintain portfolios of data
  • Develop processes for data analysis
  • Communicate with various levels of Government leadership
  • Perform schedule analysis for U.S. government acquisition programs
  • Perform risk and uncertainty analysis
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Train and mentor team members and other stakeholders on the use of developed models, tools, and solutions

Skills Required
  • 7 years relevant experience required, 1 year of space systems experience desired
  • Experience with Space Systems or U.S. Government acquisition processes a plus
  • Proficient data analytics skills: Identify specific examples of data exploration/analysis/presentation and the processes you used.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with an emphasis on MS Project, MS Excel
  • Python Experience a plus
  • Detailed, organized individual
  • Good communication, presentation, and visualization skills
  • Interest and ability to work in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to perform projects independently, summarize results in a written report, and present to an audience
  • Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition experience a plus
  • General familiarity with Cost and Earned Value Management a plus
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance
  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000, DOE

Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
