Job Description

Position: SQL Server Access Developer

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Duration: 6 Months +


Engagement Description:

Task One. In a MS SQL Server 2014 environment with MS Access 2007 as the front end, assess and resolve specific SQL Server / user interface issues as directed by the agency.

Task Two: Implement the merger of multiple databases with similar, but not identical structures into a single database. The successor database has been designed and created. The merger will require development of SQL queries, views, and procedures and MS Access code.

Task Three: Develop new MS Access user interfaces into the merged database to replace legacy interfaces. Requires a high degree ofexperience in MS Access and Access VBA.

Task Four: Design, develop, test, and implement a system for tracking enforcement actions in all programs. This project will require the contractor to designdatabase changes, add tables and fields to implement violation tracking. This will include the design of data structures for the storage of for PDF documents that constitute the enforcement record with links to the record fr0m the primary agency database. The project will also require the design and development of additional features and functionality, including a user interface using MS Access 2007 forthe input and editing of enforcement data.

Task Five: Assist in the development and implementation of testing plans for all database systems. For all tasks, support by Board staff will be provided to aid in understanding the design and implementation of the current databases.


MUST HAVE SKILLS:

MS Access / SQL Server ADO data exchange- 5 years

MS Access UI development for SQL Server back end - 5 years

Develop MS SQL Server Tables, Views, procedures - 5 years
