What’s a typical day as an MRP Controller / Operational Buyer? You’ll be:
  • Managing MRP planning activities within SAP or ERP systems to support production demand
  • Releasing planned orders and converting them into production orders for both make-to-order and make-to-stock requirements
  • Rescheduling machine assembly and sub-assembly production orders based on delivery timelines and aligning material flow to production schedules
  • Reassigning parts as needed to meet changing production priorities and ensuring all production orders are properly closed out
  • Resolving material movement errors and updating production orders with materials for special layout machines
  • Documenting part shortages and coordinating with operational buyers to minimize production impact
  • Creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders for affiliate suppliers, and managing order confirmations and delivery schedules
  • Partnering with production and logistics teams to ensure smooth material movement and investigating inventory discrepancies
