Job Title: Lead MRI Technologist / MRI Coordinator
Location: Newton, KS
Employment Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift: 8-Hour Day Shift (80 hours per pay period)
Compensation: $32.67 – $46.13 per hour (DOE)
Sign-on Bonus: $5,000
Retention Bonus: $10,000 after 2 years of satisfactory performance

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Lead MRI Technologist / MRI Coordinator to oversee MRI department operations while providing exceptional patient care. The Lead MRI Technologist partners closely with the Imaging Director to support daily departmental functions, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and MRI-related projects. This role also collaborates with the contracted research organization (AMR) to support research activities and maintain compliance with established protocols.

Working under the supervision of the Imaging Department Medical Director, the successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered MRI services while serving as a clinical leader for the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
  • Assist the Imaging Director with daily departmental operations.
  • Lead and facilitate staff meetings, training, and educational initiatives.
  • Support workflow optimization and process improvement projects.
  • Coordinate MRI-related events and departmental activities.
  • Collaborate with the contracted research organization (AMR) on research studies and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to MRI safety standards, departmental policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Mentor, coach, and support MRI staff in clinical best practices.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and departmental documentation.
  • Deliver outstanding patient-centered care and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent program.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of MRI experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Lead MRI Technologist or supervisory role.

Certifications & Licensure

  • Current ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)).
  • Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist License issued by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification.
  • Additional modality registries as required.
  • MRI Safety Officer Certification preferred.
