Job Description:
Job Purpose
The purpose of the Imaging Director is to provide supervision and administration of all diagnostic imaging departments including CT, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Ultrasound, and all personnel.
Essential Job Functions
  • Ensures department services are in accordance with established safety standards.
  • Maintains current and comprehensive policies and procedures, ensuring adequate department operation.
  • Interview, hire, supervise, and promote all employees of the department after consultation with Human Resources.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities within Clearview Diagnostic Center.
  • Communicate restrictions or requirements of tests with patients.
  • Coordinate previous films and results for comparison with current tests.
  • Oversee and recommend revisions for all technical components.
  • Coordinate scheduling of personnel including technologist, nursing, and support personnel.
  • Coordinate financial recommendations with administration.
  • Supervise day to day activities in the Imaging Center.
  • Assist radiologist and oncologist with any problem areas.
  • Fill in for CT techs, MRI techs, x-ray techs, etc. as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written communications.

Education/Experience
  • Must have a Master's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Must have current ARRT certification.
  • Must have at least (5) years' experience working in a medical imaging environment.
  • Must have at least (2) years' experience in a supervisory role.

Working conditions
This position works in the medical imaging center of a busy oncology/hematology clinic. Direct patient contact will be required depending on the task.
Physical requirements
This position requires that the employee be able to work on a computer for up to eight hours a day. This position also requires that the employee be able to stand and walk for up to eight hours a day depending on the task at hand. This position occasionally will require that the employee stand and operate heavy machinery when filling in for other technologists.
