Overview

Our team of doctors, advanced care providers, nurses, therapists, and researchers provides the region's most advanced medicine at multiple facilities, campuses, clinics, and classrooms. We offer patients convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and overall well-being of our community.


Responsibilities
  • Assists MRI technologists with patient preparation and positioning
  • Assist technologist to transfer patient from wheelchair to stretcher.
  • Assist technologist on various MRI procedures as required.
  • Assist patient to dress or re-dress for MRI procedures.
  • Provides for patient comfort when in department.
  • Transports patients to various radiology rooms.
  • Transports patients to floor if necessitated by patient's condition.
  • Obtain and document patient information as directed.
  • Other patient assistance: Must be capable of assessing patient's needs.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety concerns under technologist supervision
  • Explain basic exam procedures and maintain cleanliness of MRI equipment and work areas.
  • Stock and organize departmental supplies.
  • Assist with transferring patients using proper body mechanics and safety procedures.
  • Monitor patients before and after procedures as directed.
  • Ensure adherence to MRI safety policies and infection control standards
  • Complete clerical duties, including answering phones and maintaining records when needed.
  • Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
  • Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
  • Related duties as assigned

Additional Information

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 Days Required
  • Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
