Imaging Field Service Engineer

Job Details: Job Location: Fredericksburg - Fredericksburg, VA 22401 | Position Type: Full Time

We are looking for an Imaging Field Service Engineer to perform repairs and preventive maintenance of imaging equipment in the region. The engineer will travel as needed and will be responsible for accurate service reporting and documentation.

Field Service Engineer Service Responsibilities
  • Responsible for one or more of the following devices: general X-ray, CT, MRI, digital X-ray, ultrasound, mammography and mobile X-ray.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the CT or MRI modality required.
  • Service locations include Long Island, NYC, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten Island.
  • Experience with MRI, CT and Xray a must.
  • Experience with multiple modalities preferred.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance and operation verification procedures on complex medical imaging equipment.
  • Repairs, installs and calibrates complex medical imaging equipment devices and systems.
  • Informs managers of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations and any customer concerns.
  • Performs periodic inspections of current inventory status and maintains inventory of common failure parts to ensure equipment uptime.
  • Works with, directs and documents the activities of subcontractors, vendors and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A.S. Degree from an accredited school in electronics or DOD certification or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years working with Diagnostic Imaging Medical Equipment.
  • Experience working in medical facilities in a professional manner.
  • Ability to perform orderly and efficient work while adhering to medical facility policy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
