Job description

MRI Technologist

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 36 hours per week, 3x12 hour shifts (Days)

Job Description: The MRI Technologist is responsible for producing diagnostic MRI scans, assisting radiologists and referring physicians with MRI procedures, and ensuring a high standard of patient care while embodying the mission of the organization. The position requires a strong understanding of the technical skills and advanced physics necessary to operate MRI equipment effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI scans.
  • Assist radiologists in MRI procedures.
  • Ensure patient care and comfort during imaging procedures.
  • Make technical decisions to achieve optimal MRI image quality.
  • Maintain safety and apply knowledge of MRI physics in operational practices.
  • Perform additional duties related to imaging as needed, including after-hours standby and callback time.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • Requires registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) and an MRI registry at the time of hire.
  • Preference for applicants with MRI certification and two years of clinical or hospital-based MRI experience.
  • AHA BLS certification is required.
