MRI / X-Ray Technologist – Outpatient Orthopedic & Spine Imaging

Charleston, SC
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
No Nights No Weekends No Call


We are seeking a full-time MRI/X-Ray Technologist to join a growing outpatient orthopedic and spine imaging center. This role offers a predictable daytime schedule, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work directly with a board-certified radiologist in a focused outpatient environment.


What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay rate: $45-47/hr, may be some flexibility for the right candidate

  • Guaranteed 40 hours/week,Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (No nights, weekends, or call!)

Responsibilities:
MRI-

  • Perform orthopedic and spine MRI exams

  • Complete MRI safety screening and maintain safety protocols

  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and image quality

  • Operate low-field MRI systems and assist with future high-field imaging as needed


X-Ray-

  • Perform diagnostic X-rays of the spine and extremities

  • Follow radiation safety standards

  • Maintain accurate imaging documentation and image quality


Workflow & Operations-

  • Use PACS and EMR systems to manage imaging studies and workflow

  • Prepare studies for radiologist interpretation

  • Support scheduling, patient flow, and day-to-day imaging operations

  • Assist with workflow improvement initiatives and technology adoption


Qualifications:
Required-

  • ARRT RT(R) certification in good standing

  • Eligible to perform diagnostic X-ray in South Carolina

  • Formal MRI training with clinical MRI experience

  • Knowledge of MRI safety procedures

  • BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to work independently in a small outpatient setting


Preferred-

  • ARRT RT(MR) certification or interest in obtaining it

  • Orthopedic, MSK, spine, sports medicine, or outpatient imaging experience

  • Experience with PACS/EMR systems

  • Low-field and/or high-field MRI experience

  • Interest in technology, workflow optimization, and AI-assisted imaging tools
