Job Description
  • We are seeking a highly skilled IBM App Connect Enterprise ACE and IBM MQ System Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining IBM Integration Bus IIBACE and IBM MQ environments across multiple platforms.
  • This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of integration systems that connect enterprise applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
Installation Configuration
  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM ACE formerly IIB and IBM MQ on Windows, Linux, or UNIX environments.
  • Configure message flows, integration nodes, queues, queue managers, channels, and topics.
  • Set up high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) environments.
Administration Support
  • Manage day to day operations, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of IBM ACEMQ environments.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions using tools like IBM MQ Explorer, ACE Toolkit, or third party systems.
  • Apply patches, fix packs, and perform version upgrades.
  • Monitor message queues, error logs, and transaction integrity.
Security Compliance
  • Implement SSLTLS certificates for secure communication.
  • Define user roles, security groups, and access controls for MQ and ACE.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and audit requirements.
Automation & Scripting
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts or PowerShell scripts for automation of administrative tasks.
  • Integrate IBM ACE/MQ with CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
  • Incident & Change Management
  • Provide 24x7 production support on a rotational basis.
  • Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes.
  • Collaborate with development, middleware, and network teams for issue resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–8 years of experience in administering IBM MQ and IBM ACE/IIB environments.
  • Strong understanding of message queuing concepts, integration patterns, and SOA architectures.
  • Proficiency in UNIX/Linux shell scripting and basic networking concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Queue manager clustering and HA
  • MQ security (SSL, authentication, and authorization)
  • ACE node and execution group administration
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Jenkins, or Ansible is a plus.
