Job description

Royal Hawaiian Movers, Inc. has an immediate opening for a qualified Surveyor/Moving Consultant with some experience in moving and transportation. The Surveyor will be responsible for going to the offsite location, evaluating the furniture items, to include weight and size and noting those items. The Ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
PAY: $50,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs surveys for local household goods moves as well as office and industrial relocations
  • Sends out quotes on surveys and follows up with customers
  • Answers any queries which the client may have about the moving process
  • Answers phone and walk-in inquiries for moving services
  • Prospect, establish, and maintain relationships with customers to create opportunities for future and sustainable business
  • Periodically conduct job check ins with customer to ensure high quality of service.
  • Assist in the training of the replacement military surveyor
  • Maintain CRM

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
  • Ability to operate a tablet PC during face-to-face surveys
  • Must have valid driver's license and personal vehicle to perform surveys
  • Most have a friendly and positive attitude
  • Ability to work some weekends or over time as needed
  • Attention to detail

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service experience required
  • An understanding of the island, traffic patterns and travel times and distances
