Job description


A moving company is seeking individuals to load and unload products in and out of trucks. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Job Duties:
  • Load and unload vehicles by hand or by using a hand truck or dolly
  • Wrap furniture with blankets to prevent damage
  • Wrap dishes and fragile items in packing paper and pack into containers
  • Pad, stack, and secure items in position on truck to prevent damage
  • Deliver and stack shipment on customer's premises
  • Assist in cleaning truck, tools, and equipment
  • Collect or pick up empty containers and packing materials
  • Wear uniform acceptable to company

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Three to six months related experience is preferred
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Must have the ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs, requests, and assistance
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds, frequently 100 pounds, and occasionally more than 100 pounds
  • Must have work boots
  • Must have the ability to follow all policies and procedures
  • Must be at work every day and on time.
  • Must have a polite and friendly personality with a neat appearance
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
