Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Department: Food and Beverage Operations Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Date: Nov 2023
Broad Functions: Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the Company Warehouse and the airport locations they service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Drives truck to the locations and helps on deliveries.
  2. Assists shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
  3. Reads work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  4. Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  5. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  6. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
  7. Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for other employees.
  8. Assembles concept orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  9. Marks materials with identify information using appropriate method.
  10. Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  11. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  12. Assists in counting physical inventory.
  13. Weighs and counts items for distribution within the warehouse facility to ensure conformance to company standards.
  14. May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  15. Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  16. Prepare parcels for mailing.
  17. Sweep, dust, and mop when needed.
  18. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  2. At least one year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Verbal and written English language is essential. Able to read, speak and understand the English language in order to read requisition orders and other documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  4. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  5. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  6. Valid Driver's license.
  7. Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.
