About the job Warehouse Associate
We are seeking a highly physical and dependable Warehouse Associate to process orders and manage the movement of materials within our facility. This role involves extensive manual handling of boxes, utilizing material handling equipment, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be committed to safe work practices.
Responsibilities include:

  • Processing orders and moving boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
  • Manually lifting, carrying, and moving/arranging boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting for extended periods.
  • Loading and safely operating hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.
  • Reading and writing English to process orders, read labels, and manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Using a proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes.
  • Operating a handheld scanner to track inventory.
  • Climbing and balancing on ladders to access materials.
  • Lifting and carrying boxes weighing up to 100 lbs. without assistance for prolonged periods.
  • Loading, operating, and moving hand carts, pallet jacks, and various other material handling aids.
  • Loading boxes onto pallets and loading pallets onto trucks, both manually and with material handling aids.
  • Shrink-wrapping pallets at ground level or on carts.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work without assistance to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including up and down inclines, stairs, and over changes in walking surface/elevation.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs. without assistance for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and various other material handling aids.
  • Ability to climb and balance on ladders.
  • Must wear protective footwear.
