Job description

Unarmed Security Officer - Movie Studios/Production

GSG Protective Services is seeking Unarmed Security Officers to work at Movie Studios and Production Facilities. Unarmed Security Officers will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of patrons and staff on the property.

Responsibilities

  • Be alert and attentive while on duty to ensure personal safety and your ability to observe activities, irrelevant of working environment.
  • Collaborate with all GSG Protective Services and client staff, irrelevant of position rank or title.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Observe and report various activities on and around the assigned post.
  • Practice all safety rules and procedures, at assigned post, as established by GSG Protective Services to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Report designated activities and irregularities by submitting written and/or verbal reports.
  • Making customer service a top priority – be pleasant and courteous while greeting all staff, production, visitors and all other individuals.
  • Receive and pass down relevant information from the officer you are relieving or being relieved by.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm manner, carry out policies related to the situation and respond to instructions with urgency as needed.
  • Patrol the premise and/or work at access points controlling entry.
  • Clock in and out, log in and out for break and file reports using computer and smart phone apps.
  • Additional essential duties will be defined in the Post Orders of the specific post for which the security officer is assigned.

Requirements

  • 18+ years of age
  • Security Guard Permit as required by state law.
  • Documents that establish identity
  • Documents that establish authorization to work in the U.S

  • Listen, understand, summarize, transfer and retain basic instructions and detailed information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to observe and report activity.
