To learn more: www.sony.com/en. Sony is seeking a Senior Analyst, Risk Analytics to join Sony’s Corporate Information Security Division in London, UK. In this role, you’ll partner across the global information security, IT, and business landscape to design, implement, and evolve a data-driven Global Information Security Risk Analytics platform. Reporting to the Director of Risk Analytics, you will help transform diverse and complex datasets into objective, actionable insights that support senior leadership decision-making and monitor the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Sony assets. You’ll work closely with technical and non-technical teams to understand operational challenges, uncover meaningful data patterns, build analytical and engineering solutions, and translate results into intuitive, compelling stories.

This is a hands‑on role that blends data engineering, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to mature Sony’s enterprise-wide security risk intelligence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, refine, and maintain ETL pipelines that integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring quality, consistency, and trustworthiness.
  • Develop tools, scripts, and automation to streamline data processing, risk measurement, and platform operations.
  • Develop and maintain analytics, metrics, and dashboards that measure information security performance, risk exposure, remediation progress, and control effectiveness.
  • Analyze large volumes of security, IT, and business data to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, compelling material for executives and operational stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the design and evaluation of metrics, models, and dashboards used to monitor information security performance Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, frame analytical problems, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Provide excellent stakeholder support, including communication, requirements definition, and delivery of reports and dashboards that meet evolving needs.
  • Document solutions, workflows, and procedures to help ensure consistency, accuracy, and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Advanced understanding of statistics, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • Working knowledge of common information security and IT concepts, such as vulnerability management, patching, endpoint security, cloud security, identity and access management, asset inventory, logging/monitoring, or risk management.
  • Ability to analyze large and complex security, IT, and business datasets to identify trends, anomalies, data quality issues, and emerging risks.
  • Experience with data modeling (star/snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).
  • Proficiency with relational database (SQL) and programming/scripting (Python or R).
  • Typically 2 years of relevant experience in information security, IT, data analysis, statistics, or related field.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest in both deep technical data exploration and high‑quality stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data quality frameworks (validation, profiling, anomaly detection).
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analysis, or a mathematics/information security field.
  • Hands‑on experience with cybersecurity or IT data sources, such as vulnerability scanners, endpoint detection tools, CMDBs, cloud platforms, identity systems, SIEM/logging platforms, or ticketing systems.
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git/GitHub/Gitlab) o Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Domo).
