Moving is stressful for anyone. For an older adult moving into senior living, it can be one of the most emotional transitions of their life. They're leaving behind a home filled with memories, making difficult decisions about what comes next, and trying to find comfort in a new environment.
TES Staffing is supporting a local Rochester company who helps make that process easier. We're looking for compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable people to sit beside clients in their homes and help them sort, pack, and decide what comes with them. You will also unpack and set up their new home, so it feels like theirs from the first night.
A typical day?
While leading a crew, you will:

  • Communicate with the client, the manager, and the receiving senior community
  • Measure furniture and review the layout with the client
  • Help sort and label items prior to the move
  • Oversee the movers and direct the team throughout the day
  • Bring supplies to and from the job as needed
  • Money handling such as distributing any tips, collecting private sale money, and collecting lockboxes
  • Sweeping and mopping here needed
  • Final house check, ensuring all items were collected and nothing is missed

Flexible Schedule
We understand that life is busy.
  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday daytime hours
  • No nights or weekends
  • Hours vary based on client projects
  • We work around your availability whenever possible
     
Compensation
  • Starting at $18.00 per hour, with a shift increase of +$2.50 per hour when leading and directing a crew
  • Opportunity for additional responsibility and advancement over time

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Smartphone for communication and scheduling
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes and household items
  • Ability to remain active throughout a shift, including lifting, standing, and bending.
