Job Title: Estate Relocation Specialist / Professional Mover-Driver

Position Overview:
Professional Movers/Drivers are critical team members responsible for executing high-quality residential and commercial moves. This role requires physical strength, technical skill in handling and protecting items, professional driving expertise, and a compassionate approach to supporting clients during significant life transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Truck Operations:
• Pick up and return Enterprise trucks for scheduled moves
* Safely operate and maintain Sprinter high roof van
• Safely operate moving vehicles while adhering to all traffic safety regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Packing and Preparation:
• Expertly pack items using appropriate boxes, padding, and wrapping techniques to ensure maximum protection during transit
• Carefully organize and label boxes for efficient loading, transportation, and unloading
• Assess items for special handling requirements, including fragile, valuable, or oversized items
Furniture Handling:
• Skillfully disassemble and reassemble furniture, including beds, tables, shelving units, and other complex pieces
• Properly pad and protect furniture using moving blankets, stretch wrap, and custom protection methods
• Ensure furniture is secure and prevents damage during transportation
Loading and Unloading:
• Efficiently load moving trucks using strategic placement to maximize space and minimize item movement
• Safely unload items at destination, placing them in designated areas as directed by the client
• Use proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and protect items
Customer Service:
• Maintain a professional, courteous, and empathetic demeanor with clients, particularly seniors
• Communicate clearly and effectively about moving processes and potential challenges
• Provide guidance and reassurance throughout the moving process
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of professional driving experience
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move items weighing up to 200 lbs (with team assistance)
• Excellent verbal, written, and auditory communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience in senior services, moving, or related roles is preferred
• Excellent spatial awareness and ability to visualize furniture placement
• Patience and empathy when working with clients during significant life transitions
• Basic technology skills for communication and documentation

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
• Team lifting and moving heavy items up to 200 lbs, requiring coordinated effort with another team member.
• Ability to safely lift and carry individual items up to 80 lbs independently
• Consistently perform physical tasks involving bending, stretching, and reaching
• Maintain physical stamina to perform sustained physical labor throughout a full work shift
• Walking and/or standing in varying environments including client homes and senior living communities
• Ability to navigate different environments, including stairs, elevators, and uneven surfaces
• Capable of operating a moving vehicle for extended periods
• May require weekend or evening hours to accommodate client schedules
• Must be able to work effectively in various weather conditions and indoor/outdoor environments
• Requires continuous physical movement, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy items
• Ability to quickly and safely adjust body position when handling large or awkward items
