Olympia Moving & Storage is seeking to hire Full Time and Part Time employees for Summer and Temporary Mover/Helper positions. Minimum hourly rate is $20.00 per hour. Opportunity for Summer Work Bonus. We are looking for workers that are strong, athletic, and ready for a physical challenge. We are looking for individuals with a positive team first attitude who are dependable and punctual. We are seeking, friendly, efficient, & articulate individuals to join our team during our busy summer months with the potential to continue on an on-call basis during slower seasons.
Being a mover is hard work, moves involve working with a crew, lifting boxes, furniture and appliances, and going up and down stairs on a regular basis. Olympia movers run on the job whenever it is reasonable and safe to do so. We are seeking candidates with above average strength, stamina, fitness, and skill. Imagine staying in shape without a gym membershipand getting paid for it-this could be the job for you.
If you have a demonstrated strong work ethic, take initiative and take pride in your work every day you will be successful. Every day will be a new challenge, using your physical strength by having the ability to safely lift and carry at least 50 lbs. and be able to be on your feet for 8 to 10 hours a day. During each day you will carry heavy items long distances while on stairwells, you may pad wrap furniture & equipment, or pack cartons and containers with personal items of customers. You may be required to disassemble and reassemble furniture too.
You must have reliable transportation and/or a valid drivers license in order to get to our location in Watertown, MA to begin the day. Typical schedules are between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Weekend availability is a plus. Flexible scheduling to accommodate education, travel, sports training and other life interests.
Logical thinking, common sense, and problem solving skills are very important in this role as our customer service skills.
