Role Description

Position Summary:

The Quality Control Associates role will work in collaboration with the other associates to ensure coverage of the following responsibilities; check in of test samples from manufacturing to the QC Scientists, prepare samples for shipment, completes filing of testing documentation, and organize and distribute samples for each testing group. This role also prepares samples for USDA submission, monitors the BMS alarms, and scans and archives test records. In addition, this role prepares Annual Product Reviews, completes Bio Expiry, and prepares documents for regulatory agencies and supports 20-08 preparation for submission to the USDA for final product release.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Distribute samples to applicable areas for testing
  • Maintain testing documentation, and ensure on time submission of documentation including 20-08s and samples to the USDA for final product release
  • Maintain appropriate departmental cGMP documentation.
  • File, scan, and archive of testing documentation
  • Support the Quality Control labs by completing basic skill testing.
  • Prepare Annual Product review for all products
  • Prepare 20-08 documentation for USDA submission
  • Responsible for Bio-Expiry completion
  • Responsible for 20/20 sample destroyals.
  • Visual inspection if products
  • Generation of Certificates of Approval (COA) for regulatory agencies
  • Revise specifications as necessary
  • Follow all Zoetis Quality Standards, Policies and Procedures
  • Seasoned individual contributor, fully proficient in role.
  • Performs complex tasks
  • Fully proficient in role, applies skills to complete a broad range of tasks.
  • Limited supervision with latitude for independent judgement.
  • Regularly completes assignments with little or no assistance.
  • Typically requires at least 3+ years of related experience.

Education and Experience:

  • High school education or GED required.
  • Post High School education in the Sciences, Business, or other related disciplines preferred.
  • 3-5years related experience in a manufacturing environment and / or QC Coordinator I level

Technical Skills Requirements:

  • Good mathematical, science and computer skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills required.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Comprehensive LIMS knowledge and experience
  • Understanding of 20-08 template requirements
  • Authorized Firm Sampler

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, kneel, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently.
  • Must be able to work scheduled 40 hours with the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of 5 to 25 lbs.
  • Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
