Position Summary:

The Leasing Agent is a key member of the onsite management team responsible for driving occupancy, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and supporting the overall performance of the community. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective residents, showcasing apartment homes, managing the full leasing cycle, and ensuring a seamless move-in process. The Leasing Agent also supports retention efforts, contributes to marketing initiatives, and upholds company standards for professionalism, compliance, and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilitiesย ย ย ย ย ย ย 

Sales & Leasing

  • Greet, qualify, and build rapport with prospective residents to understand needs and present available apartments effectively.
  • Conduct property tours and highlight community features to maximize leasing potential.
  • Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease execution, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation in property management systems.

Customer Service & Resident Relations

  • Deliver a high-quality, service-oriented experience to prospects and current residents.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
  • Support move-in and orientation processes to ensure a positive start to the resident experience.

Marketing & Outreach

  • Assist with the creation and execution of community marketing initiatives and resident engagement activities.
  • Conduct market surveys, monitor trends, and provide recommendations to improve leasing performance.
  • Participate in outreach efforts to strengthen local visibility and attract qualified traffic.

Operational Support

  • Prepare, organize, and maintain leasing and resident files in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist with daily office operations, including rent collection, deposit processing, and reporting.
  • Monitor unit turnover, participate in move-out inspections, and ensure apartments are โ€œmarket readyโ€ for showings.
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and organized leasing office environment.
ย QualificationsEducation & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of onsite leasing or property management experience required.
  • Experience with property management software platforms strongly preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • Illinois Real Estate Leasing Agent License required for IL properties (must be obtained within 120 days of hire if not already licensed).
  • Industry certifications (NALP or similar) preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

Salary:
