Job Summary
Conduct research on Alzheimer's disease, neuropsychiatric disorders, and the microbiome using transgenic mouse models in Seo laboratory ( https://sites.google.com/view/the-seo-laboratory ) . Feed special diets, performs drug treatment and behavioral test to mice. Develop hypotheses to be tested and ways of testing it. Performs a standardized protocol collecting mouse specimens including brain and other peripheral organs, preparing these samples for histology and molecular/biochemical analysis. Perform stereotactic surgery. Perform a variety of complex chemical, biological, cytologic, microscopic, histologic, surgical, statistical/computational and dissection procedures. Primary cell culture, histology, and imaging of mouse nervous system tissue. Managing transgenic mouse colony and performing small animal surgical and behavioral procedures. Responsibilities

Prepares and submits papers on research. Contribute to manuscript and grant preparation by providing figures, methods, and technical expertise. Mentor junior lab members and promote a collaborative, high-performance lab culture. Following instructions and discussions with the principal investigator, designs research protocols including developing procedures for the collection, verification, and management of data.
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science or a clinical setting particularly clinical trials research and minimum of two years of applicable experience.

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
