Job Description:Â
Mountain Mike’s Pizza #430 is looking for a dependable, hard-working, and motivated Pizza Maker / Kitchen Team Member to join our team.Â
As a Pizza Maker, you will be responsible for preparing Mountain Mike’s menu items, following recipes and procedures, maintaining quality standards, and keeping a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation. The ideal candidate works well with others, has a positive attitude, and can stay focused in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Â
Pay:
Pay is competitive and based on experience, availability, position, and overall qualifications. Final pay will be discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities:Â
As a Pizza Maker / Kitchen Team Member, your responsibilities may include:Â
- Prepare high-quality and consistent menu items by following Mountain Mike’s recipes, portioning, and proceduresÂ
- Learn and understand the Mountain Mike’s Pizza menuÂ
- Read, organize, and prepare customer orders accuratelyÂ
- Work stations including dust dock, make-line, oven, and cut tableÂ
- Prepare orders quickly while maintaining accuracy and qualityÂ
- Catch and correct mistakes before orders are completedÂ
- Understand different order types, including dine-in, takeout, phone orders, paid orders, and delivery ordersÂ
- Use or understand the POS/order system as neededÂ
- Assist with taking customer orders when neededÂ
- Understand basic dispatch and order flowÂ
- Understand hood and oven operationÂ
- Monitor pizzas while cooking and ensure product qualityÂ
- Keep ovens, prep areas, make-line, cut table, and other work areas clean and organizedÂ
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and handwashing procedures at all timesÂ
- Log and maintain food safety temperature controls as requiredÂ
- Properly label, date, rotate, and organize products in the walk-in cooler, prep area, and dry storageÂ
- Assist with prep work as neededÂ
- Operate prep equipment only after proper training, including dough mixer, dough roller, slicer, shredder, and other kitchen equipmentÂ
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers, shift leads, managers, and ownersÂ
- Support other team members during busy periodsÂ
- Report customer concerns or complaints to the shift lead or managerÂ
- Use time at work efficiently to complete assigned dutiesÂ
- Assist with front-of-house duties when neededÂ
- Check, clean, and stock restrooms as assignedÂ
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all timesÂ
- Complete other duties or projects assigned by managementÂ
Qualifications:Â
- Good communication skillsÂ
- Ability to work well as part of a teamÂ
- Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and directionsÂ
- Ability to read and complete customer orders accuratelyÂ
- Basic knowledge of restaurant or food service operations preferredÂ
- Previous pizza, kitchen, or food prep experience preferred, but not requiredÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent preferredÂ
- Must be dependable, punctual, and responsibleÂ
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environmentÂ
Requirements:Â
- Valid Texas Food Handler certification required, or must be obtained within 30 days of employmentÂ
- Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethicÂ
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededÂ
- Must follow all company policies, food safety standards, and sanitation proceduresÂ
- Must be willing to learn Mountain Mike’s recipes, procedures, and quality standardsÂ
- Must be able to work as part of a team and help where neededÂ
Physical Demands:Â
This position requires the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Team members may also be required to bend, reach, stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull as needed during the shift.Â
The employee must be able to frequently lift up to 40 pounds and work in a variety of restaurant environments, including the kitchen, prep area, dish area, walk-in cooler, storage areas, and cleaning areas.Â
