In this position...

  • This leader will be responsible for developing business case and decision criteria for Ford Racing Niche Programs and customization efforts.
  • This is an opportunity to get in at the very start of a new area of focus within Ford Motor Company and specifically for Ford Racing. This position will be directly involved with the pinnacle products in Ford's portfolio.
  • This opportunity will have significant visibility with Ford senior leaders and potentially with new or existing outside partners.

  • Bachelors in Engineering or related degree
  • Customer insight into preferences for high-end products and customization
  • Track record of high business acumen with ability to assess viability of competing proposals to determine where investments should be made to maximize profits from a manufacturing facility

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.ย  ย  ย 

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

What you'll do...

  • Have ultimate responsibility for developing a portfolio of low volume niche projects and supporting business cases with goals of:
    • Maximizing profitability of Ford Racing
    • Developing in-house capability to deliver highly custom products for customers
    • Growing the Ford Racing brand
  • Design the principles to determine which programs / business opportunities should be pursued within the overall project
  • Identify additional functions / capabilities that must be in-sourced to stand up the model, choices to make, and recommendations
  • In conjunction with the manufacturing team, conduct full in-source/out-source assessments given a deep understanding of recent projects. Includes assessments of specialty skills or technologies as well as business case comparison.
  • Travel - Limited in beginning to site visits for benchmarking. Limited overall. Opportunities for more optional travel may exist if desired (supplier or partner visits, etc).
