Job description

The Stonewall Kitchen Manufacturing Cook in Training will follow an accelerated curriculum designed specifically for the role. Upon completion, of this training role you will transition into a Manufacturing Cook and have full responsibility of the role.
JOB SUMMARY
  1. Through self-directed and SWK-led training, learn a body of knowledge designed and developed to teach all necessary aspects of a Tier 0 Cook. MCIT will be the motive energy for this training, with guidance and oversight from MCIT's Supervisor as needed.
  2. Learn to cook and process product in accordance with company procedures and standards.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout shift and at the end of the shift.
  4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation for production inventory, and ensure daily production logs are accurate.
  5. Report any conditions that need attention to immediate supervisor.
  6. Follow all company policies and procedures with regard to safety, quality, sanitation, personnel, maintenance, and equipment, including food safety.
  7. Perform other job duties as assigned.
  8. 8. Successfully follow Module 9, GMP, HACCP, and SOP policies and procedures

Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent experience, with Industrial Cooking preferred
  2. Must be able to read, write English and be proficient in basic math functions
  3. MS Office literate
  4. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast past environment
  5. Ability to operate transfer pumps, electric can openers and other industrial kitchen equipment
  6. Ability to operate electrical and manual pallet jacks and forklift a plus
  7. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at shoulder height on a regular basis. Must be able to bend, stretch in a physically demanding environment, and to stand for several hours at a time.
  8. Must be ServSafe certified and cook certification training upon completion of one year in the position.
