COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY Location: Portland, OR

A prestigious AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a skilled and driven Associate Attorney to join its highly-regarded Commercial Litigation Practice Group. This is an outstanding opportunity for a litigation associate to work on sophisticated and complex disputes for local, national, and international clients across a broad range of industries. The practice regularly handles matters in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels, offering associates substantial responsibility, meaningful client exposure, and exceptional opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative and collegial environment.

Candidate Profile
  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in Oregon, in good standing, or the ability to waive in, is required.
  • 4-6 years of substantive experience in commercial litigation.
  • Litigation Experience: Excel in drafting, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances for complex business disputes.

Class action litigation experience is a plus

Active Bar Admission in Washington and/or California is a plus

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters effectively

  • Soft Skills: Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation matter
  • Draft pleadings, prepare discovery, and manage motion practice in high-stakes litigation.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and clients in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
  • Work directly with clients to provide practical, business-oriented legal counsel
  • Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including fact development, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents
  • Develop case strategies and collaborate with partners on high-stakes disputes
