Position Overview

Motion Craft Wellness is actively seeking dedicated Physical Therapists to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physical therapy services tailored to the needs of our geriatric patients. Our clinic is devoted to empowering individuals to live independently and with dignity, making your expertise a vital part of our mission.

Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, providing direct home care in various living environments for our older adults. Our therapists work in private residences as well as assisted living facilities across Austin, thus allowing you to experience a range of therapeutic settings within the community. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of each patientโ€™s physical capabilities and limitations, creating tailored treatment plans that align with their health goals and personal needs.
  • Deliver skilled therapy interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and the application of modalities, ensuring each session is compassionate and client-focused.
  • Regularly monitor clientsโ€™ progress, documenting treatment outcomes and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to enhance patient success.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration, consulting with physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to provide a cohesive care plan that benefits the patient holistically.
  • Educate patients and their families about exercises to perform at home, strategies for injury prevention, and how to utilize daily living activities to maintain their independence.
  • Implement risk management practices, such as fall prevention programs, to enhance safety in the homes and communities of the elderly you serve.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest innovations in physical therapy practices by engaging in ongoing education opportunities, workshops, and professional development seminars.
  • Commit to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality in all patient interactions and documentation practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a geriatric clientele, many of whom may be experiencing chronic conditions, mobility limitations, or recovering from surgery. Your role is crucial in helping these patients enhance their physical abilities, achieve personal milestones, and ultimately improve their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, holding at least a bachelorโ€™s level qualification. A Doctorate or Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • An active Physical Therapist license in Texas, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • A strong foundation in physical therapy principles with demonstrated knowledge in therapeutic techniques and clinical applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate effective relationships with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
