Job description

At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.

The Product Education team designs, develops, and launches learning experiences for Lyft customers in the in-app and web Learning Center. We partner with stakeholders across Lyft to make sure customers get accurate, timely information - from in-app safety features to tax season tips to five-star guidance - reaching hundreds of thousands of customers across the US and Canada. Our ~200 tutorials support 25M+ enrollments a year, and we work closely with the Learning Platform product and engineering teams to build the features that support customer learning at scale.

We're looking for a Senior Education Content Producer to own visual asset creation and accuracy for the Learning Center. Most of your time will be spent on video editing and motion graphics. You'll design, create and edit new videos, animations and images, and  keep our existing library accurate as the underlying product is constantly evolving. You'll also need solid producer skills: pitching and managing external vendors/agencies, and running the occasional small-scale shoot.

You'll work alongside our other Content Producer, who also owns asset creation and updates, and our Learning Experience Designers, who write and structure tutorial content. Together, you'll make sure every customer-facing tutorial looks and feels like Lyft, and stays that way as the product changes.

Responsibilities:
  • Visual Asset Creation & Accuracy
    • Using the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, edit and animate new video, motion graphics, and image assets from concept through final delivery
    • Own the day-to-day health of our visual asset library: auditing, updating, and troubleshooting images, live-action video, UI walkthroughs, and animations across dozens of tutorials
    • Track versioning closely as the underlying product changes, proactively catching and fixing assets that fall out of date as features evolve
    • Lead large-scale content audits and updates (e.g., brand refreshes) across the Learning Center catalog
    • Maintain and evolve backend asset architecture in Contentful, including tagging, taxonomy, and localization variables
  • Strategic Initiatives & Systems Thinking
    • Identify opportunities to streamline visual asset production, and proactively pitch and build solutions that save the team time (new tools, workflows, or production frameworks)
    • Contribute to platform and tooling migrations (e.g., digital asset management systems), partnering with engineering on requirements and rollout
    • Help shape and maintain shared visual systems (e.g., Figma libraries) that keep asset creation and auditing efficient as the team and catalog grow
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Learning Experience Designers, Product Design, and Marketing to plan and produce visual content for new and updated tutorials
    • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Onboarding, Growth) on joint content initiatives
    • Represent Product Education's visual production needs in cross-functional planning and prioritization
  • Vendor & Production Management (required skillset, occasional cadence)
    • Pitch, vet, and onboard external video/animation vendors and agencies when a project calls for it; gather bids and evaluate technical specs against project needs
    • Own the vendor pipeline end-to-end when engaged: securing budget, navigating procurement and Statement of Work review, coordinating legal/security review (NDAs, DPAs), and setting up Purchase Orders and vendor accounts
    • Manage the relationship with external partners for the duration of a project: running feedback rounds, keeping deliverables on schedule, and ensuring final assets meet Lyft brand standards
    • Plan and run small-scale live-action shoots as needed, coordinating logistics, talent, and creative direction
Experience:
  • 5+ years experience editing, animating, and producing video/motion graphics. Previous titles might include: Video Editor, Motion Graphics Artist, Content Producer, Video Producer, Production Manager, Visual Content Producer.
  • Comfortable operating as a hybrid producer/craftsperson; able to both manage vendors and get hands-on with editing or asset work when needed
  • Strong organizational skills and an exacting eye for detail: able to track dozens of in-flight assets and versions without dropping a thread, especially as the underlying product changes
  • Proficiency with video/animation tools (Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent) and digital asset management systems
  • Experience with Figma or similar tools for asset organization and tagging
  • A systems-thinking mindset - looks for patterns and builds repeatable processes rather than solving the same problem twice
  • Comfortable pitching, vetting, and managing external vendors/agencies, and planning and running small-scale live-action shoots
  • Comfort navigating procurement, budgeting, and legal/security review processes for external vendors when those projects arise
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Nice to Have:
    • Experience with Contentful or another headless CMS
    • Familiarity with Mux, Brandfolder, or similar video/DAM platforms
    • Experience using AI tools (Claude, Gemini) to accelerate production workflows
    • Background in education, safety content, or other regulated/complex subject matter
Benefits:
  • Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolled
  • Mental health benefits
  • Family building benefits
  • Child care and pet benefits
  • 401(k) plan with company match to help save for your future
  • In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
  • Subsidized commuter benefits
  • Monthly Lyft credits and complimentary Lyft Pink membership
