We’re looking for a Digital Designer, Podcasts to support our growing podcast portfolio and play a key role in bringing our digital programming to life. If you have a deep passion for sports, graphic design, social media, and visual branding, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Candidates must have a strong digital design background, with experience conceptualizing and executing content across social media, YouTube, and video production, while developing scalable design systems and brand identities. The ideal candidate will create unique, platform-optimized content that elevates content across channels, establishes visual standards, and drives audience. Expert level experience with graphic and motion design, Adobe Creative Suite, and a strong understanding of social platforms and YouTube, are required.

This role sits within Sinclair’s Corporate Graphics department, working alongside a centralized creative team and developing visual identities and promotional assets across digital, social, streaming, and broadcast platforms.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with Producers, Social Strategists, marketing, and leadership on shaping the visual identity of content across all platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and X

Own and evolve the creative standards across the network, establish scalable design systems that create a consistent, premium look while maintaining brand identity

Lead the visual conceptualization of new podcast and channel launches, developing creative vision across YouTube, social, and digital platforms through branding, color systems, typography, motion graphics, and other visual assets

Create reusable designs, including social templates, YouTube thumbnails, motion packages, lower thirds, quote cards, recurring segments, and more

Align with brand partners to design creative for sponsorship elements (branded social content, etc.) adhering to campaign requirements

Design high-impact static and motion graphics for podcast promotion, branded content campaigns, breaking news, talent moments, live events, and tentpole moments

Optimize creative assets for each platform, applying best practices for aspect ratios, typography, safe zones, captions, and platform-specific performance

Collaborate with producers, editors, and social leads to concept visual storytelling around tentpole moments, live events, and original content

Ensure visual consistency across all shows and with Corporate Graphics standards, while adapting designs to each podcast’s unique brand identity

Build and maintain organized design libraries, templates, and brand guidelines to improve collaboration and efficiency

Manage incoming requests and priorities through Corporate Graphics’ project management system, communicating deadline risks proactively

Design thumbnails optimized for YouTube CTR and platform-specific performance; analyze data to continually refine strategy that improves engagement

Stay current on social media and creator trends, sports news, typography styles, AI-powered tools, meme formats, and platform design shifts

Who You Are Requirements

4-6 years of professional graphic, digital, and motion design experience (sports, entertainment, media, or digital-first brands preferred)

Strong portfolio showcasing social-first design work, including full brand systems, digital campaigns, static graphics, motion assets, and thumbnails

Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required; After Effects, Premiere Pro strongly preferred)

Demonstrated experience creating scalable creative systems, templates, and brand packages

Strong understanding of social platform creative best practices, typography, color theory, and brand consistency across all platforms

Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to translate creative strategy into high-performing visual assets

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment (including nights/weekends during major events)

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Motion graphics and animation skills for short-form video and social content

Knowledge of current sports culture, trends, and digital storytelling formats

Experience working inside an established enterprise brand system and applying it across multiple sub-brands

Experience with digital asset management systems and maintaining shared design libraries

Proven ownership of projects from concept through final delivery

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with sports leagues, teams, or sports media brands

Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools

Experience designing YouTube thumbnails optimized for click-through performance

Understanding of social analytics and how visual design impacts engagement

Experience on a centralized or shared creative services team supporting multiple internal stakeholders

3D design experience (Cinema 4D or similar)

Presentation design, print, or out-of-home experience in addition to digital

Comfortable mentoring junior designers and sharing techniques and workflow improvements across a department

A consultative approach with internal partners: understanding their objectives and recommending the best creative solution rather than just executing the request

Design experience spanning broadcast and linear television in addition to digital platforms

Experience with an enterprise project management or work order system (Workfront or similar)

The base salary compensation range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans,flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
