Job Summary/Description:
The Lead Designer is an individual contributor with a diverse skill set, allowing for adaptation to the project, whether it be broadcast or digital, news promotion or commercial client-driven. This role demands direct knowledge of all aspects of video production to independently create top-quality multi-platform visual branding. Working with a team of producers and creative leadership, the Lead Designer must efficiently produce a variety of creative assets for the station's News Department and a variety of commercial clients.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and other creative leadership to create content that will help expand our rapidly-growing broadcast and digital media presence.
• Production and implementation of graphics for station promotion, commercials, newscasts, as well as social and digital platforms.
Audience Development:
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and strategic thinking to help implement market research recommendations and achieve goals in audience development.
Revenue Generation:
• Provide creative consultation, marketing expertise, and customer service for Sales clients and initiatives to ensure their investments with the station deliver agreed-upon value.
• Ensure through workflow management that client projects are delivered on time and within budgetary constraints.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Film/Video, or other related field preferred.
• Must provide a creative reel demonstrating advanced knowledge of motion graphic design, especially Adobe Creative Suite software.
• Previous professional experience or internship work in a creative environment, digital, or broadcast business preferred
• Experience with Facebook/Instagram/X, Google Analytics
• Must be able to adapt and to adopt any new changes in the workplace that include things like new technology.
• Must be able to drive to meet with local clients and must possess a valid driver's license.
