Job description

The Senior Manager, Marketing (North America) will lead the strategic and creative direction of our marketing efforts across digital, social, content, partnerships, and live events. This role oversees a multidisciplinary team of Marketing Manager, Graphic Designers, Social Media and Videographers/Editors. The ideal candidate combines strategic brand thinking with hands-on execution, thrives in fast-paced environments, and knows how to translate esports culture into revenue-driving initiatives.

Core Responsibilities or Job Duties include:

Leadership & Creative Direction

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of managers, designers, editors, and social brand managers.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative creative culture that encourages experimentation and innovation.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to elevate design, video, and content output.

Content Strategy & Brand Execution

  • Translate brand strategy into compelling creative content across all platforms (YouTube, TikTok, X, Instagram, Twitch).
  • Develop content frameworks, campaign concepts, and storytelling approaches aligned with brand identity.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, visual identity, and messaging across all channels and creative deliverables.
  • Monitor content performance and leverage insights/data to optimize reach, engagement, and growth.

Marketing Operations & Project Management

  • Oversee marketing project scheduling, workflows, and creative planning to meet deadlines and business goals.
  • Maintain and update the marketing department budget, ensuring efficient and strategic allocation of resources.
  • Manage cross-functional alignment with esports operations, partnerships, merchandise, and executive leadership.
  • Ensure all brand deliverables satisfy partner/sponsor requirements.

Live Events & Experiential Marketing

  • Lead marketing strategy and promotion for tournaments, live activations, meet-and-greets, watch parties, and community events.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in marketing, digital content, or creative leadership—ideally in esports, gaming, entertainment, or youth-focused brands. Proven track record managing creative teams and delivering high-quality, multi-platform content.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere), Figma, and knowledge of video editing/motion graphics workflows. Comfortable working with CMS/DAM tools.
  • Platform & Analytics Expertise: Deep understanding of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, and Twitch best practices, including SEO, retention, and optimization. Ability to interpret performance data and build data-informed growth strategies using tools like YouTube Studio, TikTok Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics.
  • Marketing & Commercial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, timelines, production workflows, and vendor relationships. Strong familiarity with sponsor deliverables, branded content, merchandising/MTX marketing, and supporting sales teams with marketing assets.
  • Esports & Gaming Knowledge: Strong grasp of the esports landscape, COD ecosystem, creator economy, and gaming culture, with the ability to craft culturally relevant, authentic content.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent project management, cross-functional collaboration, and creative feedback skills. Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume creative environment.
