# Motion Graphics Designer## Mixon Digital•### @mixondigitalPosted on 7/29/2026•Full-time## Job Description\*\*ABOUT THE ROLE \*\*Mixon Digital is looking for a **Motion Graphics Designer** who lives at the intersection of broadcast design and real-time graphics systems. This is a hands-on production role with a get-to-air urgency mindset — you will design, animate, storyboard, and deliver graphics that run live during pro sports broadcasts and in-arena events across pro sports teams and leagues in the US and worldwide. You bring both the creative eye and the technical fluency to produce compelling visual work inside a live production environment, and you thrive when the pressure is on.**WHAT YOU'LL DO****Design, Animation & Concepting****•** Design and animate broadcast-quality graphics packages — lower thirds, full-screen stats, scorebugs, stingers, transitions, opens, and sponsored features**•** Develop concepts and storyboards from creative brief through style frames, animation, and final delivery**•** Build motion graphics that communicate real-time sports data clearly and compellingly, from pre-game to final buzzer**•** Adapt and optimize motion assets across multiple display formats — broadcast, in-arena videoboards, LED ribbons, ribbon boards, and other display surfaces**•** Work within established brand systems across multiple client properties, maintaining visual consistency while bringing fresh creative thinking to every project**•** Execute and adapt designs originated by other creatives — bringing client-supplied concepts, style guides, and existing packages to life with the same care and precision as original work**•** Deliver production-ready assets that are clean, consistent, and built to spec**CG Systems & Real-Time Workflow****•** Build and maintain graphics templates inside a broadcast real-time graphics engine**•** Work within a data-driven graphics system to connect live sports data to on-air templates**•** Troubleshoot render and output issues in a live production environment — fast and without drama**•** Collaborate with technical staff to ensure graphics perform flawlessly in live deployment\*\* Collaboration & Process\*\***•** Take briefs from clients (via Operations) and translate them into production-ready creative**•** Work within defined project timelines and deliver on schedule, every time**•** Participate in creative reviews, iterate efficiently based on feedback, and know when something is done**•** Manage project files and assets in accordance with department standards**•** Share knowledge with junior team members and contribute to a high-output team culture**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR****Required Experience & Skills****•** 3+ years of motion graphics experience in a broadcast, sports production, or live events environment**•** Hands-on experience with a broadcast real-time graphics engine — familiarity with industry-standard CG platforms is essential**•** Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator; working knowledge of Premiere Pro**•** Strong command of typography, color theory, motion theory, and visual composition — these are non-negotiable in a broadcast environment**•** Experience building template-based graphics systems — not just one-off animations**•** Ability to adapt assets across multiple display formats and aspect ratios (broadcast, videoboard, LED, ribbon board)**•** Concept and storyboard skills — able to develop an idea from brief to style frame before animation begins**•** Ability to work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, live production environment**•** Portfolio demonstrating broadcast graphics work — lower thirds, data-driven stats, live sports graphics preferred**Nice to Have****•** Cinema 4D or Blender for 3D element creation; Redshift for rendering**•** Experience with live data integration workflows in a broadcast graphics environment**•** Experience supporting live sports events (arena, studio, or remote production)**•** Unreal Engine or game engine background**•** AI-assisted design and animation tools**•** Sports fan with genuine enthusiasm for and knowledge of professional sports**WHO YOU ARE****•** You bring a get-to-air mentality — you know how to move fast without cutting corners**•** You take ownership of your work queue and don't wait to be told what to do next**•** You receive feedback constructively and iterate without ego — the work is what matters**•** You're curious about the craft: you follow design trends, watch what other teams are producing, and hold your own work to a high standard**•** You're comfortable working nights, weekends, and event days when the production calendar demands it — live sports doesn't run 9 to 5**•** You're a self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing detail or quality\*\* WHY MIXON DIGITAL\*\*Most motion graphics roles put you inside one team's world. At Mixon, your work runs across pro sports teams and leagues in the US and worldwide — simultaneously.**WHAT WE OFFER****•** Competitive salary commensurate with experience**•** Health coverage and benefits package**•** Hybrid work model (Atlanta-based)**•** Direct access to major pro sports productions & broadcasts**•** A fast-moving team that takes craft seriously**•** Opportunity for international travelLocationOn-siteAgawam, Massachusetts #J-18808-Ljbffr
