In this role within the Creative Studio, you'll be responsible for developing effective, exciting, and culturally relevant motion work for our portfolio of brands. You'll be part of a full-service, in-house, geographically diverse creative team of designers, art directors, and copywriters who work hand-in-hand with a global network of producers and external production partners.

The Senior Motion Designer is a highly skilled and versatile animator who brings both craft and conceptual thinking to every project. With a strong command of motion design and animation, as well as video editing, they can move seamlessly between briefs, maintaining a consistently high standard of output. They are confident working autonomously as well as collaboratively, bringing proactive energy and fresh ideas to the team, while also playing a key role in helping to shape and formalise how motion shows up across our brands globally.

Your creative scope will span a wide variety of work, from global campaigns and social content to cultural brand moments and marketing initiatives, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role is based in New York or Austin, reporting to the Design Director in London.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Leading the execution of motion design and animation across a broad range of communications for Bumble Inc.'s diverse brands, spanning social, digital, campaigns, and marketing work globally.
  • Taking ownership of complex briefs from concept through to execution, delivering high-quality motion work that is on-brand and consistently excellent.
  • Collaborating closely with designers, art directors, copywriters and other creatives to produce cohesive, compelling work across all brands.
  • Contributing actively in brainstorming and concepting sessions, bringing strong creative ideas and a distinct motion perspective to the table.
  • Developing, owning and formalising motion guidelines for Bumble Inc.'s brands, establishing a clear and consistent motion language that enables global consistency and empowers the wider team and agency partners to execute at the highest level.
  • Working closely with agency partners globally, acting as the key creative point of contact for motion on campaigns and content, providing clear and constructive direction to ensure a consistent look and feel across all brands.
  • Presenting work to key stakeholders, clearly articulating motion design decisions and how they ladder up to the brief and brand objectives.
  • Upholding and championing Bumble Inc.'s brand standards across all markets and touchpoints, ensuring consistency at every level.
  • Overseeing freelancers and agency partners in video editing and post-production on projects where required, ensuring a high quality and efficient delivery workflow.
  • Managing your own workload effectively, and flagging any resource or timeline considerations proactively.
  • Staying ahead of motion design trends, emerging tools and technology, bringing fresh thinking and relevant references into your work and the wider team.
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft and versatile motion design thinking across multiple channels, from brand campaigns and social content to digital. They'll have a track record of delivering high volumes of high-quality animation and motion work in a fast-paced environment, with the confidence and experience to take full ownership of projects from brief to final delivery.

They're a self-starter who brings energy and ideas to every brief, works comfortably without close supervision, and thrives as part of a collaborative, geographically diverse creative team. They'll have experience working with agency partners and a natural ability to guide and steer creative output to ensure it meets the highest standard.
