Job description

SENIOR MOTION DESIGNER, ENTERPRISE B2B
About this team: This is a brand-new, dedicated team for an enterprise B2B technology program. As a senior member you'll help shape the motion standards, templates, and workflows the team uses, and own animated HTML5/display — a senior, hands-on contributor who builds the playbook, not just follows it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The program produces motion at scale across many simultaneous campaigns for a technical audience of engineers, IT decision-makers, and enterprise buyers — from animated HTML5/display and GIF units to UI-driven explainers and video graphics, against client brand guidelines at a premium, brand-safe bar.
You'll set the motion standard and own the HTML5/animated-display standard — building the templates and ad-platform specs the team works to — while mentoring motion designers and producing your own high-end work. You'll work within the design and motion team led by the Art Director, alongside editors and designers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Set the motion standard. Produce high-end motion — typography, layout, compositing, transitions, UI animation — that defines the quality bar.
  • Own motion & HTML5 systems. Build the reusable After Effects templates and motion guidelines, plus the HTML5/animated-display standard, master templates, and ad-platform specs (file weight, clickTags, polite-load) the team works to — and help harden the internal banner-build/resize tooling for scale.
  • Mentor and review. Direct and give feedback to motion designers, leveling up craft, consistency, and technical hygiene.
  • Animate UI and explainers. Design and animate screen/UI moments and kinetic typography that make technical B2B stories clear and engaging.
  • Partner across the team. Work with the Art Director, Senior Video Editor, and designers to bring storyboards and concepts to life on-brand.
  • Use smart tooling. Work with AI-assisted and templated workflows, with judgment on when AI fits (backgrounds, concepting, stylized visuals) versus when precision or brand-locked work — UI, kinetic text, exact outcomes, brand assets — needs traditional animation.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 5+ years in motion design with a standout reel of polished, high-end work.
  • Advanced After Effects (and strong Premiere Pro); strong command of typography, layout, composition, pacing, and UI/screen-based animation.
  • Hands-on experience building animated HTML5/display banners and their templates to ad-platform specs (e.g., After Effects → HTML5, Google Web Designer or Celtra).
  • Experience building motion templates/systems and workflows at volume.
  • A self-directed maker who mentors others and helps build a workflow that's still taking shape.
  • Strong communication and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Enterprise or B2B technology brands and technical/brand-safe creative.
  • 3D motion (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender).
  • Design fundamentals in Figma / Adobe Creative Suite.
