Your main responsibilities:

  • Support continuous improvement of hydraulic lab test stands through CAD-driven design updates, documentation, and hands-on validation
  • Translate lab and manufacturing needs into robust mechanical solutions by creating 3D models and 2D drawings
  • Support controlled change processes, and partnering with engineers and technicians to implement and verify hardware improvements that enhance safety, reliability, and serviceability
  • Gain hands-on experience in design, development, and implementation of new products that enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality

Who we are looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar) and 2D drawing fundamentals.
  • Comfort working hands-on around mechanical equipment (wrenches-and-notebooks environment).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organizational skills and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office) with an ability to learn new systems and tools.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to hydraulics (pressure, flow, fittings, valves).
  • Experience with test equipment (pressure transducers, load cells, DAQ basics) or basic instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with tolerance/fit concepts, GD&T basics, and drawing best practices.
  • Comfortable reading hydraulic schematics and mechanical assembly drawings.
