Description

Are you an Engineering, Strategic Planning, or Product Management professional looking to accelerate your career in Factory Automation? If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Product Manager for Electric Linear Motion (ELM) within the Motion Control SBU will act as the General Manager for our electric motion portfolio, driving strategy, roadmap, and market success across the Americas.

You will oversee the full product lifecycle — from concept and launch through maturity and discontinuation — and play a central role in shaping how we grow in electric linear motion applications.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Define the product strategy for the Electric Linear Motion portfolio for Factory Automation markets in the Americas, including segmentation, positioning, and competitive differentiation.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, supply chain, sales, product management, and marketing teams to build and maintain a global roadmap for the ELM portfolio.
  • Work closely with customer-facing teams to understand and synthesize market trends, competitor moves, and customer requirements specific to electric motion applications.
  • Develop and deliver Electric Linear Motion training for sales, application engineering, and other customer-facing teams to strengthen organizational capability.
  • Conduct in-depth product and portfolio reviews to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for innovation or optimization.
  • Orchestrate key portfolio activities including product positioning, pricing, launches, obsolescence, sales support, and product trainings aligned with roadmap and business strategy.
  • Initiate and support New Product Development projects, driving early gate activities and ensuring alignment with market needs.
  • Monitor and interpret KPIs (financial, operational, commercial) to measure initiative performance and adjust product strategy accordingly.
  • Lead or support strategic initiatives related to Motion Control SBU and the expansion of electric motion capabilities.

Who You Are:

You are a customer-centric Product Marketing Manager who flourishes with translating technical innovations into compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences. You possess a strong strategic approach and excel in cross-functional collaboration, working seamlessly with product, sales, and marketing teams. Your data-driven approach, combined with a creative and resourceful nature, enables you to develop and implement impactful go-to-market strategies that drive product adoption and business growth

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Engineer, or Application Engineer working with Electric Linear Motion products.
  • Deep understanding of electric motion applications in Factory Automation, including common architectures, use cases, and customer pain points.
  • Demonstrated success driving cross-functional alignment and execution.
  • Fast, independent learner with the ability to navigate both detailed technical topics and broader strategic considerations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
  • Ability to travel ~20% to global sites and customer locations.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Customer-facing or supplier-facing experience in electric motion or automation.
  • Prior Product Management experience in electromechanical or automation products.
  • Participation in cross-functional transformation projects (new tools, processes, reorganizations, technology upgrades).
  • Exposure to ERP or CRM systems.
  • Experience with financial modelling and business case development.
