Job description

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, Brain and Cognitive Sciences - The Seethapathi Motor Control Group at MIT, to assist in conducting experiments focused on human locomotor control and neuromechanics; to develop and pursue collaborative research projects; to participate in all lab activities; to support research teams in setting up and operating human experiments with physiological measurement systems (e.g., motion capture, force platforms, electromyography, indirect calorimetry, eye gaze tracking); to evaluate joint kinematics and kinetics, muscle activity and strain patterns, and whole-body metabolic energy consumption; possibly be responsible fordata analysis and methodological development; and collaborate extensively with graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, providing technical assistance to support their thesis projects.
