The Maintenance Supervisor leads the plant's maintenance function to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and improving preventive and corrective maintenance activities across production equipment and facility systems. The Maintenance Supervisor helps maximize equipment uptime, performance, and product quality by driving effective maintenance programs, troubleshooting complex issues, and partnering closely with operations and Operational Excellence on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. This role may also support site safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance and reinforce a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for plant equipment and facility systems.
  • Own maintenance schedules and repair priorities to support production goals, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement equipment upgrades and process improvements to increase availability, capability, and yield.
  • Perform and oversee equipment failure analysis, root cause investigation, and follow-up corrective actions for both planned and unplanned downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, including infrequent or recurring equipment problems.
  • Evaluate equipment modifications, collect and analyze maintenance and performance data, and communicate findings and recommendations to plant leadership.
  • Develop, update, and maintain equipment maintenance procedures, standards, and work instructions as needed.
  • Coordinate the procurement of replacement parts, tools, and maintenance supplies to support manufacturing operations and minimize downtime.
  • Support the design, fabrication, installation, and startup of new or modified equipment; may obtain vendor quotes and coordinate contractor support as needed.
  • Train and coach maintenance and operations colleagues on proper equipment operation, care, and basic troubleshooting practices.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices, including proper use of PPE, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and verification of safety devices and features.
  • Help ensure compliance with company safety, environmental, and operational policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Set day-to-day priorities and operational objectives for the maintenance team, monitor execution, and ensure work is completed effectively and safely.
  • Partner with Operations and Operational Excellence to support lean manufacturing, waste reduction, reliability improvement, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial experience, including experience leading maintenance activities or teams.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, instrumentation, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computer-controlled systems.
  • Experience with installation, assembly, disassembly, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve both mechanical and electrical equipment issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to analyze equipment and maintenance data to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including coaching, directing work, and reinforcing accountability and safe work practices.

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $73,700.00 - $125,300.00. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $95,000.00 to $105,000.00. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
