Job description

Senior Demand Planner Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Demand Planner to lead demand and supply planning activities while driving process improvements across the planning organization. This role requires a highly analytical professional with strong SAP planning experience who can quickly assess existing processes, implement new planning solutions, improve reporting capabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver accurate forecasts and optimize inventory performance. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, MRP execution, and SAP transactional processes, with the ability to influence business decisions through data-driven insights and effective stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demand Planning & Forecast Management Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasts processes at multiple levels of the business. Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Product Management, Finance, Warehouse and Operations teams to align demand expectations and assumptions. Analyze historical demand trends, market conditions, customer requirements, and business initiatives to improve forecast reliability.
  • Supply Planning & Inventory Management Execute supply planning activities to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory. Manage inventory levels, inventory health metrics, safety stock strategies, and replenishment parameters. Identify supply risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent service disruptions.
  • SAP Planning & MRP Execution Execute and monitor MRP runs to ensure accurate replenishment and supply recommendations. Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to ensure execution of planning outputs. Maintain planning data integrity and support SAP process enhancements.
  • Process Improvement & Planning Solutions Lead or support implementation of new planning methodologies, tools, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and service levels. Document planning procedures and provide user training when needed.
  • Reporting & Analytics Develop, Prepare and present monthly planning, inventory, and forecast performance reports to leadership. Support executive and operational reviews with meaningful supply chain insights. Leverage SAP, Power BI, Excel, and other analytical tools to provide actionable recommendations.
Qualifications

Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Planning. Strong SAP experience, including planning, inventory, and MRP processes. Proven experience running and managing planning tools in a manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.

Preferred
  • Experience with SAP IBP, S/4HANA, or other advanced planning systems.
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards and data visualizations.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
  • Experience supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
  • Knowledge of statistical forecasting techniques and inventory optimization methodologies.
