About the Project

Chemical Imbalance is a comic retelling of the classic story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Dr. Jekyllโ€™s research focuses on the split between good and evil in the human psyche. Of course, things get out of hand when he decides being evil might be more fun and recreational. As Jekyll's family tries to marry him off to an eligible young lady, he wreaks havoc both on London and his household โ€“ with humorous results.

All characters speak with a British accent unless otherwise noted in the description. Physical comedy is required by most characters. Those auditioning will perform cold reads from the script with other actors.

SHOW DATES: October 1โ€“4

REHEARSAL DATES: August 11 โ€“Sept. 29 Tuesday & Wednesday evenings (6:30โ€“8:30 pm) and Saturday afternoons (2โ€“4 pm) with minor changes possible.
