Job Description:
At Regions, the Business Systems Analyst conducts business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analysis in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. This position may function as liaison between the line of business and the Information Technology (IT) department.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Formulates/defines specifications for operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from programs
  • Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devises computer programs, systems, and related procedures to process data
  • Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solution
  • Prepares program specifications and diagrams and develops coding logic flowcharts
  • Encodes, tests, debugs, and installs the operating programs and procedures in coordination with computer operations and user departments
  • Reviews progress and evaluates results
  • Reports inconsistencies to the attention of management and suggest problem resolutions and business process improvements
  • Certain business groups may require on call support rotation after hours and/or weekends

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related experience
  • Or Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience

Preferences
  • Banking or financial services industry experience
  • Experience providing application support to include troubleshooting
  • Experience with business intelligence tools
  • Familiarity with agile and/or waterfall methodologies

  • Leverage Salesforce platform capabilities to support mortgage origination and customer relationship management processes throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Gather, document, and translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation, optimization, and expanded use of Salesforce platform capabilities.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide business insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Perform data analysis, data validation, and data quality management activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of Salesforce data.
  • Monitor system performance, user adoption, and platform utilization, recommending enhancements to maximize business value.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
This position is intended to be onsite, and located in Hoover, AL. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
